Customers take to the cloud, via Microsoft
SINGAPORE. — Feb. 28, 2011 — Mr. Teo said that the SOE has a central policy governing privacy aspects such as data location and security standards. It would be difficult to fit Microsoft's CRM Online product under those restrictions, he said.
Agencies such as Economic Development Board would also require a high level of customisation in order to keep track of data like loans and grants to foreign companies, for example.
These requests are not typical of a standard CRM offering and systems integrators often have to perform custom designs for such agencies based on deeper research of agencies' needs as well, said Mr. Teo.
